The Flood Damaged Yalıköy Stream Bridge Is Being Repaired

Fatsa Municipality is repairing the Yalıköy Stream Bridge, which was damaged by the flood disaster last year. Repair works have started on the 18-year-old Yalıköy Stream Bridge, which was damaged by the flood, which also affected Yalıköy, one of the important tourism regions of the region.

BRIDGE IS STRENGTHENING WITH PRECAST CONCRETE BLOCKS

The feet of the steel vehicle and pedestrian bridge, which were damaged at the ends by the disaster, are reinforced with precast concrete blocks. After fortification with concrete blocks, the bridge will be opened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in a short time. The teams will then repair the pedestrian bridge, which is 60 meters away from the top. The teams of the Directorate of Science Affairs, which started the cleaning work in the stream bed, will start the bridge repair within a week.

COMPLETED IN SHORT TIME

Fatsa Mayor İbrahim Etem Kibar stated that the vehicle and pedestrian bridge over the Yalıköy Stream were damaged by the flood 8 months ago and said, “Our Yalıköy neighborhood is one of the most important tourism centers of our region. We will soon complete the repair of the 18-year-old steel vehicle and pedestrian bridge and the pedestrian bridge at the top. After repairing the damaged bridges, we will have a beautiful appearance by making arrangements around it. May Almighty Allah not show such a flood disaster to our region again.” said.
