Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. The transportation move initiated by Mehmet Hilmi Güler has reached a historical record. Metropolitan Municipality teams brought together 2019 kilometers of roads with asphalt and concrete between 2023-1760.

Asphalt mobilization continues in Ordu, one of Turkey's most challenging geographies and the city with the longest rural road network. In the city, whose total road network is more than 4 times the average of Turkey, great progress has been made in the road works carried out in the districts. The teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Department of Science Affairs, which changed the face of the city with the construction sites they established in 19 districts, opened the doors of a high standard and comfortable transportation on the neighborhood and group roads within the framework of the determined program.

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said that between 2019 and 2023, they did asphalt and concrete work on 1760 kilometers of roads.

THE LONGEST PROVINCE OF TURKEY'S RURAL ROAD NETWORK

Stating that they have carried out important works on neighborhood and group roads since the day they took office, Mayor Güler said, “Turkey's longest rural road network, with a length of 27 thousand 318 kilometers, is located in our province. We have a challenging and dispersed geography in terms of settlements. Despite all these factors, we have carried out very serious studies throughout the province to ensure the comfort and safe transportation of our citizens.

ASPHALT AND CONCRETE ROAD LENGTH REACHED 1760 KILOMETERS

Giving information about the transportation investments realized in four years, President Güler said, “Since the day we took office, we have completed 524 km of hot asphalt, 270 km of concrete roads, and 966 km of emulsion asphalt. We have provided a comfortable structure of 1760 km of roads in total," he said.
