While Narlıdere Metro was completed at a rate of 96 percent, the foundation of Buca Metro was laid. Turkey's most comprehensive earthquake research was initiated. With the cooperative model, both the urban transformation works were accelerated and the Halk Konut project was put into practice for the earthquake victims. The Sponge City Izmir project, which aims to reduce the rainwater flow in the urban area by 70 percent within five years, has been launched. Many investments were made, from the Urban Furniture Factory to the Bayındır Dairy Factory and the İzTransformation Packaging Waste Collection and Separation Facility. Many projects have been implemented for all segments of society, from women to youth, from children to the disabled. Pioneering steps were taken in every field from health to culture, from sports to tourism.
One third of spending is on investments
In 4 years, the amount of investments made by the Metropolitan in the city with ESHOT, İZSU and its subsidiaries was 18 billion 279 million liras. Financial support of approximately 68 million liras was provided to the expropriation works and projects of the district municipalities. When the investment rates of the last four years are taken into account, one third of the expenditures has been allocated to investments.

The Karabağlar-Gaziemir metro and the Otogar-Kemalpaşa metro, which will be the longest metro line in İzmir with a line of 2 kilometers, with an investment cost of 105 billion 32,6 million Euros, were also set out. With İZTAŞIT and İZULAŞ vehicles, the number of new vehicles included in the public transportation network in a 4-year period reached 616, and President Soyer's 500 bus target was realized as 123 percent.

In addition, bicycle lanes infrastructure and facility services were increased, 35 repair kiosks and 50 bicycle pumps were located. The number of stations of BISIM, the smart bike rental system of the Metropolitan Municipality, was increased from 34 to 60.
