GAÜN Presented Its Suggestions for the Sustainable Logistics Sector

With the European Union project, in which Gaziantep University (GAÜN) is a partner, it is aimed to create a curriculum that will ensure the development of sustainable, green and digital talents in logistics education and to develop training modules that take into account the needs of industry and logistics 4.0 in line with the needs of the logistics sector.

The first transnational meeting of the project was held in Slovenia, hosted by the University of Maribor, with the participation of academics from Poland, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal, Austria and Turkey. At the meeting, the project was planned by exchanging ideas on the work packages completed within the scope of the project and the activities to be carried out for the future. The project, which is supported by the European Union with a budget of 400 thousand Euros, is expected to be an important study in planning the necessary logistics personnel, especially within the scope of the Green Agreement.

In the completed work package of the project, the stakeholders of both the logistics education and the logistics sector were determined, and the expectations and needs were determined by taking the opinions of these stakeholders on the basis of partner countries. Attending the meeting on behalf of GAÜN, Assoc. Dr. Eren Özceylan said that in the next work package, in line with these needs, the standards and contents of logistics-themed courses will be determined for students, where they can develop sustainability, green and digital skills.
