BUS, AIRPORT AND TRAIN STATIONS WILL BE CONNECTED ON THE SAME ROUTE

Speaking at the groundbreaking program held at Konya Station, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Konya Train Station, Selçuklu Train Station and the airport will be connected to each other for the first time by a rail system. Emphasizing that when their work on rail systems is completed, the bus station, airport and train stations will be connected by a rail system on the same route, Mayor Altay said, “One of the most important stakeholders of this project, which we will realize with a total investment of 2 billion 300 million lira, is our Konya Metropolitan Municipality. Hopefully, when the system is completed, the vehicles will be supplied by our Metropolitan Municipality and we will put the operation at your service together with our State Railways.”

Expressing that one of the most important demands of Konya is the access of citizens working in the industry to public transportation, Mayor Altay said, “Today, with this foundation, I hope we will have achieved this in a period of 2 years. There are people who are involved in this process. For that, I have to especially thank them. I would like to thank our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu. Another thanks goes to the valuable General Manager of our State Railways, Mr. Hasan Pezük and his team, who are with us today. This process was completed with the personal follow-up and instructions of our General Manager. Today we will lay the foundation together. Hopefully we will be able to open as soon as possible. I am very happy to be at this ceremony together. Today is a historical day for Konya public transportation. Just as our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, does something historical every day, we are starting a project worth 2 billion 300 million liras, which will affect the history of Konya, which is very important for Konya. Good luck to the people of Konya," he said.

It really changed the face of our Konya. It added value to the value of our Konya with its transformation projects. We hear this especially from those who come to Konya from outside. Of course, our chest rises because of the praise about our Konya. We experienced the disaster of the century not only in Konya, but again, our Konya Metropolitan Municipality and other municipalities wrote epics in Hatay. God bless them all. Konya always has an owner. Our Honorable President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. We hereby convey our thanks and regards to him. Every day, we witness the inauguration or groundbreaking ceremonies of big investments, huge investments. We are getting the results of our technology-based industry move. Every day we see the opening of works that make us all proud. Türkiye is indeed a producing, growing, developing and rising country. But someone is trying to block us. Someone is trying to prevent it from inside and outside. With the permission of Allah, we are going to wash the obstacles. On May 14, I believe that we will openly elect our President," he said.

AK Party Konya Deputy and 28th Term Deputy Candidate Ziya Altunyaldız said, “Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to our President, who brought Turkey's 2nd High Speed Train together with Konya and always declared himself a Konya citizen, for the KONYARAY Suburban Line. I personally witnessed how meticulously our State Railways General Manager and Metropolitan Mayor have been doing this work since the beginning. That's why I would like to thank our Minister of Transport, General Manager and Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality on behalf of all our citizens. Konya has been making efforts to integrate the rail systems started by our President Tahir for a long time. We are presenting Konya with a modern transportation system that does not produce emissions, makes it a green city, integrates it to all four corners of the city, connects every district, where workers and employers can easily reach, and where they can go to their destinations in comfort. Konya will continue to be the AK Party's tent, supporter and real bearer with the many services it will receive in the coming years and with many marches.

Tahir Akyürek, AK Party Konya Deputy and 28th Term Deputy Candidate, also noted: We are almost unable to keep up with the openings and the groundbreaking. We are currently at the groundbreaking ceremony as the initiator of an important investment that could be a turning point in the history of Konya. We would like to express our gratitude to our President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is the founder of all these investments and services, and who showed his will for them. It has been the initiator and owner of billions of dollars of investments in Konya for 21 years. Our Konya met with these big investments. On the occasion of this suburban groundbreaking, on behalf of our city, I would like to thank our President, especially our President, who brought this important investment to our Konya, our Minister of Transport, our Honorable General Manager, our Metropolitan Mayor, all our friends, brothers and elders who contributed.”

Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan said, “It is of course very important to increase the quality of life in Konya, for individuals to live happily, to have a healthy life, to develop themselves and to be in constant solidarity. We would like to thank our state, government and municipalities for the development of individuals in our Konya, increasing the global competitiveness of enterprises, the preservation of green and as a whole these issues. It is very valuable that such a benevolent work has provided this service by running in the direction of the instructions and the target set by our Metropolitan Mayor, minister and President.”

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who participated in the program over the video conference, pointed out that KONYARAY is an important project and said, “When it is completed, Konya will win, the people of Konya will win. Konya's urban traffic will be relieved and Konya's quality of life will be increased. The lives of our citizens in Konya will be easier. Of course, Konya is very precious to us. That's why we have many projects in Konya. As you know, a few months ago, we built the Konya Eğiste-Hadim viaduct, which is the highest viaduct in Turkey, and connected a very safe, comfortable, high-standard road between Konya and Alanya. Hopefully, we will complete an important axis of Konya with the Bird Nest roads, which are the continuation of this. Our President Tahir said a little while ago. They made investigations in the Alacabel Tunnel. It is a very important job that we closely examine and follow. We are finishing all our productions in our tunnel over 7 kilometers. Hopefully, together we will bring this place to our Konya and Antalya as Alacabel Tunnel in the coming months. As you know, the production of our Demirkapı Tunnel has been completed. That's another important axis. In other words, all roads lead to Konya. We will do everything we can to bring all roads to Konya. Kenya deserves it. What we can do for Konya is less. Whatever we do is necessary. That's why all our mayors and deputies, all our governors, we will sit down and talk and do whatever it takes for Konya to develop and grow. Today is also a very important day. There is a great crowd and interest. This shows us that the future of Konya is very bright," he said.

After the speeches, the foundation of the Konyaray Suburban Line was laid by the protocol with prayers.
