Boilers in the mobile kitchen truck sent to Kahramanmaraş by the General Directorate of Security due to the earthquakes that took place on February 6, are boiling for earthquake victims every day.

From the first moment of the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the police force, which has been working in search and rescue activities and in the maintenance of public order, regardless of the concept of overtime, also meets the food needs of the earthquake victims.

The police are also working overtime to meet the demands of the victims who have suffered in earthquake regions and to solve their problems.

In this context, mobile kitchen trucks of the General Directorate of Security were also sent to earthquake zones. Mobile kitchens with ten personnel were deployed in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay.

Under the coordination of the Social Services and Health Department of the General Directorate of Security, hot meals are distributed from the trucks to the earthquake victims from the first day of the earthquake.

Mobile kitchens also serve at iftar and sahur

Mobile kitchens, which have the capacity to distribute meals to 5 thousand people in one meal, offer hot meals to earthquake victims three times a day during the normal period, iftar and sahur due to the month of Ramadan.

Inspector Sezgin Gonen, who was in charge of the mobile kitchen truck, said that he wished God's mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquake and healing for the injured.

Pointing out that the mobile kitchen truck that arrived in Kahramanmaraş on the first day of the earthquake started operating immediately, Gönen said, “Our goal here is to get our citizens back to their daily lives as soon as possible. We have been here as the mobile kitchen truck of the General Directorate of Security since the first day of the earthquake. We provide catering services to 5 thousand people a day.” said.

Explaining that cooks, assistant cooks, technicians and police officers working in the General Directorate of Security took part in the mobile kitchen, Gönen said that they also helped the citizens who demanded food during the day other than meals.

“We Are Happy If We Contribute A Little Bit To Our Citizens”

Emphasizing that there is a good unity in healing the wounds as a country, Gönen said, “Citizens are really happy and we are very happy to provide such a service. Our police force worked extensively with the search and rescue team in the early days, and now we provide catering services. Glad we can contribute a little. The important thing is that our citizens from Kahramanmaraş heal their wounds as soon as possible.” used the phrase.

Pointing out that another mobile kitchen truck serves earthquake victims in Hatay, Gönen said, “We are here until the wounds are healed. Before that, our mobile kitchen trucks served daily hot meals during flood disasters in Kastamonu and forest fires in Antalya.” he said.

One of the earthquake survivors, Sultan Doğan, who received food from the mobile kitchen truck, said, “May God bless you, thank you very much. God bless our state, good luck to everyone." said.
