Sedirler Bridge Interchange Construction Works Started

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they continue to realize important investments in order to reduce the traffic density in the center of Konya, and said that the construction works of the bridge crossing at the Sedirler Junction on the Adana Ring Road have started. The bridge crossing, whose cost will reach approximately 220 million liras, is planned to be completed within a year.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality will significantly relieve the traffic of the ring road with the bridged intersection it will bring to the Adana Ring Road Sedirler Junction.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they have added a new one to the crossroads they have built in order to reduce the traffic density in the city center and to ensure traffic safety.

Noting that they opened Abdülhamid Han Street, İsmail Ketenci Street and Celaleddin Karatay Street to provide an uninterrupted traffic flow in the city, Mayor Altay said that they are working hard to bring the streets of Karabağ, Kazakhstan, Alparslan Türkeş and Necmettin Erbakan to the city. President Altay said, “While opening alternative roads for uninterrupted traffic, we are also constructing bridged intersections. We started to work on the construction of a bridge crossing at the Sedirler Junction on the Adana Ring Road, which is one of the most heavily used streets of the city. In this context, we opened our service road in the Adana-Ankara direction and started to provide traffic from there. As of today, we have started the excavation work on the bridge. Other service roads will be opened in a short time and traffic will continue from service roads. When the Sedirler Köprülü Junction is completed, the traffic in the region will be significantly relieved and the waiting time will be reduced.”

The cost of the bridge will reach approximately 220 million liras, and it is planned to be completed within a year.
