The second phase of the 6,5 kilometer road between the Izmir road and the hospital, which was designed by the Metropolitan Municipality to ensure smooth transportation to the Bursa City Hospital, is getting ready for the opening with the ongoing greening works.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which brought large-budget projects to the city to solve the transportation problem in Bursa, also completed the road that will provide transportation from the city center to the Bursa City Hospital. With a total bed capacity of 355, Bursa City Hospital, which significantly draws the health burden of Bursa, has become more accessible with the investments of the Metropolitan Municipality. The 3-meter section, which is the first stage of the road projected between the İzmir road and the City Hospital, was completed before. Asphalting on the 500-meter section between Ceviz Cadde and the hospital, which is the second stage of the road, has been completed. In the second stage of the divided road with a total width of 3 meters, 35 thousand 428 tons of filling, 323 thousand 15 tons of asphalt pavement, 500 thousand meters of curbs and 12 meters of guardrails were manufactured. Lighting works have also been completed by UEDAŞ in the middle refuge of the road, for which approximately 800 million dollars have been spent.
Counting the days to the opening
After the completion of the production on the road, Tarım Peyzaj A.Ş. teams started greening and landscaping works. While greening was done on an area of 16 thousand square meters on the road, 280 linden trees were planted in this context. While tree planting continues, a design project has been developed for the City Hospital Junction and its implementation will begin. Irrigation in the area will be done with underground drip systems. After the soil leveling is done, the greening of the road will be completed with the roll grass laying.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş noted that with the completion of the City Hospital connection road, another important transportation problem has been eliminated, and that with the completion of the Emek - City Hospital rail system line, uninterrupted transportation to the hospital can be achieved from anywhere in the city.
