During the holiday, 28 additional high-speed train services will be organized on the Ankara-Istanbul and Konya-Istanbul lines, while the capacity of mainline and regional trains will be increased with 290 additional wagons.
Before the Ramadan Feast and the midterm holidays of primary, secondary and high schools, great interest in land, air and railway transportation continues. General Directorate of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ completed the preparations for the capacity increase in the high-speed train, main line and regional trains, which have reached high occupancy rates and attracted great interest.
In order to meet the increasing demand, the institution added additional flights to the high-speed train lines and added wagons to the main line and regional trains.
In this context, 28 additional high-speed train services will be organized on the Ankara-Istanbul and Konya-Istanbul lines.
An additional capacity of 14 thousand 15 people will be provided with additional flights that will operate on April 19-20, 22-24 and 12-516, covering the holiday period. Tickets for additional high-speed train services will be available from today.
290 additional wagons for mainline and regional trains
Also, with İzmir Blue, 4 September Blue, Eastern Express, Konya Blue, Aegean Express, Erciyes Express, Toros Express, Pamukkale Express, Ankara Express. Çerkezköy-Halkalı Wagons will be added to regional trains.
During the holiday week, the passenger capacity will be increased by 290 seats with a total of 15 additional wagons that will be connected to the main line and regional trains. Thus, a capacity increase of 640 people will be achieved for the period in question.
