The maintenance, repair and renovation works started by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in the historical building, which has served as a Clothing Center for many years in Ulus, in order to establish a new Psychological Counseling Center are continuing. In the center, which consists of 5 floors and an area of ​​​​510 square meters, it is planned to provide psychological support to disadvantaged groups.

Bringing together projects that prioritize public health with the citizens of the Capital, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its work to bring a new Psychological Counseling Center to the Ulus region.

Within the scope of the project carried out jointly by the Departments of Cultural and Natural Heritage and Social Services; A registered building, which was built in the 1940s and became idle after being used as a Clothing Center for many years, will be put into service as a Psychological Counseling Center.

PLANNED TO BE OPEN IN 2023

In the building, which consists of 5 floors and an area of ​​​​510 square meters, the paint, door, floor renewal and stair railings were completed by the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Sibel Zaman, Architects of the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage, noted that they are working to bring the building, which has been idle for a long time, back into service.

“We carried out the restoration and renovation of the registered building, which was used as a Clothing Center for many years in Ulus, to serve as a Psychological Counseling Center. New room partitions were made. Paint, door, floor renovation and stair railing renovation works have been completed. We expect it to be put into service in 2023 after it was handed over to the Social Services Department.”
