The assembly of modern, environmentally friendly and comfortable 'new generation smart' bus stops of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues. While the installation of a total of 5 stops, 75 of which are fully closed and air-conditioned, is being carried out for 240 stops. The old stations, which were dismantled for the technological stops that started to take their place on the streets and avenues of the capital, are revised and evaluated in the surrounding districts.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to place the new generation smart bus stops, which stand out with their modern, environmentally friendly and comfortable nature, on the streets and avenues of the Capital.
The assembly of 315 of the new bus stops, which are planned to be placed at 5 points in the city center by the EGO General Directorate, 75 of which are fully closed and air-conditioned, has been completed.
TECHNOLOGICAL STOPS worthy of the capital city
Work continues for 240 stops, which will be built within the scope of the project, which will enable Başkent residents to meet with state-of-the-art smart stops after state-of-the-art buses. Infrastructure will be brought into service in the areas needed for 240 stops, which will be placed at different points all over the city.
Smart stops, 5 of which are fully closed and air-conditioned, started to serve the people of Ankara, in front of the National Library, Akköprü, Gazi Hospital, in front of Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and at the exit of Koru Metro Station.
All of the new stops, which are specially designed to bring a modern city aesthetic worthy of the capital and to prevent the citizens from being adversely affected by the climatic conditions, have WI-FI, LED screen and lighting, a disabled and USB charging unit, while their energy is provided from the solar panel.
OLD TYPE CLOSED STOPS ARE ESTABLISHED IN DISTRICTS AND NEIGHBORHOODS
The EGO General Directorate evaluates the old-style stops, which were dismantled due to the new bus stops, in other areas. The old-style covered bus stops, which have been made suitable for re-use with the revision, are offered for use in the city center and surrounding districts where there are no closed stops.
