Which Districts Does Başakşehir Kayaşehir Metro Line Pass Through? Stops and Route!

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of the Başakşehir-Çam and Sakura City Hospital and the Kayaşehir metro line at Kayaşehir Metro Station. Noting that they are here to solve another important issue in Istanbul, Erdogan wished the metro line, which is 6,2 kilometers long, to be beneficial to the country, city, district and nation.

Congratulating the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu and his team, who contributed to the bringing of the metro line to Istanbul, President Erdoğan stated that he wholeheartedly congratulates everyone who contributed, from contractors, engineers to workers.

Emphasizing that they have realized their vision of knitting Istanbul with iron nets from underground and above, President Erdoğan said:

Noting that the physical progress rate was 5 percent when this metro line was taken over, President Erdoğan said, “In other words, there was nothing except the excavated 100-meter tunnel and the viaduct that was one in four but finished. Working day and night, we made the metro line ready for opening within 4 months. We have successfully completed the testing and commissioning of our line. Today, we are proud to put it at your service. We'll ride together in a little while." said.

Noting that they carried out the design of the metro stations with a unique understanding, President Erdoğan continued his words as follows:

“We wanted to bring our Istanbul not only a transportation infrastructure, but also symbolic spaces. At the Çam and Sakura City Hospital station, together with Çam and Sakura, we built a special atrium that promotes all our city hospitals. At our Kayaşehir station, we offered a warm atmosphere to the passengers waiting underground with its lights and wooden-like coating. In addition to its aesthetic features, we also meet an important need of the region with our metro line. Transportation between the city center and Çam and Sakura City Hospital will be faster, more economical and safer. You know, when the Çam and Sakura City Hospital was to be opened, we built the road there, because the main responsible did not build it, that is, because the Metropolitan did not. By integrating this metro line with other public transportation modes, we have provided easy access to many places, including Istanbul Airport. You will no longer have to wait and waste time in traffic. Başakşehir, that suits you, for that.”

President Erdoğan said that it takes 20 minutes between Kayaşehir and Mahmutbey, 29 minutes between Metrokent and Bakırköy, 24 minutes between Metrokent and Istanbul Airport, and 23 minutes between Çam and Sakura City Hospital-Bakırköy.

After the opening, President Erdoğan made the first ride of the metro with his entourage and came to the City Hospital stop from the Kayaşehir Center stop.
