Solidarity with earthquake survivor artists has brought art back to its feet. Hatay's world-famous Antakya Civilizations Choir took the stage in Istanbul. As part of the 'Music of Solidarity' project, the concert of the IMM Orchestras and the Antakya Civilizations Choir, which lost 7 members in the earthquake, at CRR attracted great attention.

In Hatay, which is one of the provinces most affected by the earthquake disasters centered in Kahramanmaraş, the aid and support works of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) continue. IMM Culture Department also implemented the 'Music of Solidarity' project to heal the wounds with art and the strength of Hatay's ancient culture. The first concert of the project took place on March 31 at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall (CRR). Antakya Civilizations Choir, whose 7 members lost their XNUMX members in the earthquakes that shook Turkey, gave an unforgettable concert.

SECOND CONCERT TODAY

Istanbulites filled all the seats at CRR for the first concert of the solidarity process that will continue throughout the year. In the concert, the invitations of which were provided free of charge via the Radar Istanbul application, the distinguished repertoire of IMM Orchestras gave the audience emotional moments.

The performance of the Antakya Civilizations Choir, which was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012 and introduced the cultural richness and tolerance of Hatay to the whole world, also enchanted the audience. Reflecting the cultural mosaic of the region in its art, the choir brought the rich music of Hatay together with art lovers.

Within the scope of the project, the second concert will be held on Saturday, April 1 at 21.00, again at CRR. This time, the IMM Orchestras will take the stage with the Hatay Academy Orchestra.

THE MUSIC OF SOLIDARITY

With the 'Music of Solidarity' project initiated by the IMM Culture Department, concerts will be held to commemorate the artists in the earthquake after the disaster and to support the artists from Hatay. This solidarity and unity of power; It will be both a means of bringing together the musical heritage of Hatay, nourished by ancient cultures, with the people of Istanbul, and also a means of reinvigorating Hatay with the power it receives from culture and arts. Free invitations to the concert will be available through the Radar Istanbul application, after being announced on IMM Culture and Arts social media accounts.
