Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum shared a post on his official social media account about the village houses launched in 653 villages in the earthquake zones affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Continuing its efforts to build a total of 143 thousand village houses in order for the village people affected by the earthquake to reach their permanent residences as soon as possible, the Ministry started the construction process of 653 thousand 13 village houses in 400 villages in the first place, with the help of the General Directorate of Construction Affairs.

“Village houses are designed as 5 different types”

Village house projects were designed in 5 different types according to regionally different needs, with single storey, veranda, considering local architecture and living conditions. In the statement of the Ministry, it was stated that all type plans of the houses were planned with an average of 122-127 square meters in gross, 102-106 square meters in net size and 3+1 rooms in all types.

The Ministry stated that barns will be built by carrying out works in village houses for citizens who are engaged in animal husbandry and whose barns are damaged so that they cannot be used. The barn types were planned as 85 square meters gross and 78 square meters net.

In the statement of the Ministry, it was stated that the planning process of village houses was carried out together with social facilities, and announced that projects were prepared by planning a playground in all villages, and a village mansion and mosque or cem house in villages with more than 100 households.
