The laboratory class was opened in Yeşiltepe Secondary School in the district with the project "One Brick for Education, From Us", which was initiated by Keçiören Municipality within the scope of support for education.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, ABB Deputy Chairman of the Assembly Fatih Ünal, AK Party Keçiören District President Zafer Çoktan, representatives of political parties and non-governmental organizations attended the ceremony, and 310 laboratory equipment was delivered to Yeşiltepe Secondary School.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, in his speech addressing the students and teachers at the ceremony, said, “One day you will rule our country. That's why you have to work hard. You can't be successful without working and sweating. We must prepare you for the future in the best way possible. For this reason, we are developing the libraries and laboratories of our schools. Science, science, technology and informatics stand out in the 21st century. Our President says, '21. century will be the century of the Turks.' I hope we will reach the level of contemporary civilizations that Atatürk showed with you. A lot has changed in the last 30 years. You will see the next thirty years. Now the manufacturing sectors have changed. The most powerful companies were IT, technology and software companies. The balance of the world has changed in 30 years. The informatics industries took the place of the oil, weapons and pharmaceutical industries and surpassed them. You will also work in these laboratories. There is Keçiören Municipality Technology Center (TEKNOMER). You will also produce software there. There is no other example of this center in Ankara. The other day at noon from the Netherlands, they said, 'There is no such center in the Netherlands'. We are the sons of a great nation's civilization. May our laboratory be instrumental in the emergence of our scientists. May it be a good future for you. You will make the 21st century the century of the Turks.” said.
President Altınok and accompanying participants cut ribbons and made examinations in the laboratory class they opened.
