Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to expand its rail transportation network. Aiming to relieve the city traffic with its transportation projects, the Metropolitan started the tram line, which the people of Kuruçeşme were eagerly waiting for. The start of the line, which showed great interest, was welcomed by the citizens.

Stating that he has been living in Kuruçeşme for years, Ali Shipka stated that there is a busy morning in the direction of Izmit and emphasized that it is good that the tram line is activated. Indicating that he has lived in Kuruçeşme for 45 years, İlyas Dereci said, “I am a tradesman. Getting to and from Izmit from here began to be difficult. The opening of the tram today was a double holiday for us. We would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially Tahir President.”
TEST DRIVES WAS SUCCESSFULLY DONE
Kuruçeşme stage has been completed on the Akçaray tram line, which is used extensively by Kocaeli residents to make a comfortable, comfortable and enjoyable journey. On the tram line that passes over the D-100 Highway to Kuruçeşme, rail production has been completed recently and test drives have been started. The construction of the station in the Kuruçeşme section has also been completed.
NUMBER OF STATIONS INCREASED TO 16
The Akçaray tram line reached a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters with the Kuruçeşme stage. Together with the 3-kilometer single-line warehouse area, the single-line length of the tram reached 23,4 kilometers. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops increased to 16.
