After the earthquakes, the epicenter of which is Kahramanmaraş and affecting ten provinces, fuel is one of the greatest needs for both the healthy execution of rescue efforts and the continuity of life.

As of February 9, 2023, a total of 3 fuel trains set off in the earthquake zone under the coordination of AFAD by the General Directorate of TCDD Transportation.

As of this date, 649 thousand 35 tons of fuel, pitch and floor will be transported by 38 wagons in total, including Adana, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Gaziantep and Malatya, which were affected by the earthquake disaster.

As it is known, the transportation of dangerous goods has an important place in railway transportation, which provides the fastest and safest way to transport mass cargoes at once. TCDD Tasimacilik, the leading institution of railway train management in our country, transported 2021 million 23 thousand 448 tons with 1 thousand 250 wagons in 819 and 2022 thousand 16 tons with 332 thousand 839 wagons in 313 within the scope of dangerous goods transportation.
