Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) General Directorate announced that 275 kilometers of 167 kilometers of railway line passing through the earthquake zone was opened to traffic, and 6 thousand people were hosted in wagons and stations.

In the statement made by the General Directorate of TCDD, “Works on 275 kilometers of the 167 kilometers of railway line passing through the provinces in our earthquake region and affected by the earthquake have been completed and opened to traffic. The work continues on the 108 kilometers of Islahiye-Fevzipaşa, Köprüağzı-Kahramanmaraş, and Süratı-Gölbaşı lines.

In the statement, the following were noted regarding the opportunities provided for those affected by the earthquake:

“Meal and accommodation are provided for 200 people at the Gaziray construction site in Gaziantep, for 500 people at the Nurdağı construction site within the scope of the Mersin-Adana-Gaziantep High Speed ​​​​Train Project, and for 150 people at the Toprakkale construction site. 17 wagons of construction equipment, 215 wagons of humanitarian aid, 284 wagons of 573 living containers, 96 wagons of 101 containers of heaters, blankets, generators, 30 wagons of coal, 5 wagons of 12 mobile WCs, 5 heating generator wagons, 24 shelters. Aid was delivered to earthquake victims with purpose wagons, 30 service wagons and 706 wagons in total. 6 thousand of our citizens are hosted in wagons and train stations. A total of 9 toilets and 3 bathrooms, including 4 single WCs, 1 double WCs, 3 six WCs, 51 triple WC/triple WC and 3 triple WCs provided by TCDD, were sent to Adıyaman.”

A total of 399 trips were organized, including 84 trips with 222 wagons, 26 trips with diesel and electric train sets, and 332 trips with YHT sets; 58 thousand 356 people affected by the disaster were evacuated.
