The Metropolitan Municipality, in cooperation with MUSIAD Sakarya and UTIK, prepared the SBB Disaster Logistics Center in the earthquake zone. President Yüce noted that the area where those carrying aid to the region and participating in the search and rescue efforts will breathe, meet their energy needs, and use the aid as a logistics base to deliver them to the citizens with the coordination of AFAD, is ready.
Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce announced that after the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, which caused destruction in different cities, they established the SBB Disaster Logistics Center in the region with the cooperation of MUSIAD Sakarya and UTIK.
Logistics base is ready for citizens going to the region
With the instructions of President Ekrem Yüce, with the cooperation of MUSIAD Sakarya and UTIK, the area where the SBB Disaster Logistics Center, carrying aid to the region and participating in the search and rescue efforts, will breathe, meet the energy needs and deliver the aid to the citizens with the coordination of AFAD, has started service.

Expressing that they declared mobilization from the moment of the earthquake, Yüce said, “We are on the alert from the first moment. Our construction equipment and more than 100 colleagues reached the region for support. As of now, as the Metropolitan Municipality, we prepared 25 aid trucks with the support of our citizens and sent them off to the region. Now, we have prepared and opened the SBB Disaster Logistics Center in cooperation with MUSIAD Sakarya, Production and Trade Board. Hopefully, we will continue to heal wounds together, reach out to our lives, and stand by our citizens. May God help our country and our nation," he said.
