Railpool Brings More Traxx Locomotives to Poland, Italy and Scandinavia

RAILPOOL and Alstom, one of Europe's leading rail car rental companies, have signed a framework contract that includes 27 newly built Traxx AC3 and Traxx DC3 locomotives and an additional 15 locomotives options.

The locomotives are intended for use in Poland, Italy, Norway and Sweden and will be produced at Alstom plants in Kassel (Germany) and Vado Ligure (Italy) for delivery from 2024. is shifting nine additional Traxx AC2 locomotives in its current fleet to Sweden and Norway, where RAILPOOL has operated its own three workshop locations in Oslo, Gothenburg and Malmö since the takeover of Nordisk TogTeknikk AS and its 2022% daughter NTT Sverige AB in 100.

In particular, with this latest order, RAILPOOL has become the lessor with the largest homogeneous fleet of Traxx DC3 Last Mile locomotives in Italy, where RAILPOOL has its office in Savona. In Poland, at the beginning of February, RAILPOOL celebrated the opening of the official office of the newly formed Railpool Polska Sp. z oo in Poznań.
