Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which has been on alert since the first moment of the earthquake and has increased its support to the region, established a vehicle construction site in Hatay to ensure coordination. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Konya Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities provide services with 630 vehicles, 2015 personnel, 134 generators and 760 projectors in Hatay, and said, “The construction site of our Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities are equipped with construction equipment. Work machines from other provinces are also coordinated. In addition, the fuels coming by tankers are filled for construction equipment, public vehicles, motor couriers and generators under our coordination. We are working hard with activities such as search and rescue, mobile kitchen, bread oven, mobile communication, clean water supply, energy needs and distribution of aids.
After the 7,7 and 7,6 magnitude earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, which affected 10 provinces, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which sent many vehicles, construction equipment, in-kind aid and manpower to the region, continues to heal the wounds of the earthquake.
