The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) reported that Uğur Kurt, the goalkeeper coach of İskenderunspor, one of the TFF 10nd League clubs, was left under the rubble in two earthquakes of 7,7 and 7,6 magnitude, the epicenter of which was in Kahramanmaraş and affecting 2 provinces, in Hatay.
The statement from the Turkish Football Federation is as follows:
“It is with deep sadness that we learned that Uğur Kurt, the goalkeeping coach of İskenderunspor, one of the TFF 2nd League clubs, lost his life in the earthquake that stifled our country. May God have mercy on Uğur Kurt; We express our condolences to his grieving family, relatives and İskenderunspor community.”
