Limitation of Goods Transport Fees in Earthquake Zones from the Ministry of Interior

The Ministry of Interior determined the transportation fees of the transportation companies as a result of the meetings with the chamber representatives and sector stakeholders in order to prevent the exorbitant price for the transportation of the disaster victims. Shipping companies will make pricing in the 15% flexibility band, up or down, by evaluating the regional conditions over the transportation costs in the market conditions.

The Ministry has taken action for the survivors who want to move from the disaster areas where the disaster of the century has been experienced. As a result of the consultations of the Ministry with chamber representatives and sector stakeholders, it sent a Circular on Tariffs for Transport of Goods in Disaster Areas to the governorships.

With the circular, it was determined how to calculate the costs of moving houses from disaster areas.

Accordingly, the cost of moving goods from house to house for up to 4 + 1 houses in market conditions;

  • Transportation of goods from house to house within the city (including 25 kilometers) is carried out for a maximum of 6.000 TL, including the labor cost, and for a maximum of 9.000 TL, including the labor cost, for the transportation of goods from one house to another within the provincial borders.
  • It is stated that the transportation of goods between cities is 6.000 TL, and 25 TL per kilometer (for the part exceeding 10 kilometers) is added to this price, as well as 1.000 TL destination elevator cost, 2.000 TL destination labor cost and 1.000 TL driver fee.

In case of renting an elevator for transportation works; The maximum lift rental fee is 10 TL up to the 1.000th floor, and an additional 100 TL rental fee is charged for each floor above this floor.

In this context; In order to ensure price formation according to normal market conditions, in accordance with Article 2935 of the Emergency Law No. 9, the prices will be determined within the 15% flexibility band, up or down, within the framework of these tariffs, taking into account local conditions, and announced to the public, excluding free aid transportations.
