The Ministry of Family and Social Services took 5-year-old Muhammed and 13-year-old Hüda, who were injured in the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, to Denizli after their treatment in Ankara and brought them together with their mother, Ahlem Misto.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, Ahlem Misto, along with his wife and children, was left under the rubble as a result of the collapse of its buildings in the earthquake disaster in Kahramanmaraş. Mother Misto and her children, 5-year-old Muhammed and 13-year-old Hüda, were injured and escaped from the rubble. His wife died. Mother Ahlem Misto, who was pulled out of the wreckage, was being treated at Mersin City Hospital, while her children were brought to Ankara Bilkent City Hospital for treatment.

Upon the improvement of the children's health, the Ministry of Family and Social Services contacted the family members and identified them. Afterwards, as a result of the social examination carried out by the relevant professionals of the ministry, it was deemed appropriate to deliver the children to their mothers, who settled with their brother in Denizli after their treatment in Mersin.

Muhammed and Hüda brothers, whose treatment was completed at the hospital, were taken to Denizli by the officials of the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services to be reunited with their mother after being discharged from the hospital. After the earthquake, the mother and her children, who were reunited days later, hugged each other and longed for each other.

In the next period, the family will be followed up by teams made up of professional staff and ASDEP staff within the scope of the ministry's "Children are Safe" program, and psychosocial support will be provided to the family.

Ankara Family and Social Services Provincial Director Bekir Koçyiğit gave information about the handover of the earthquake victims who could not be accompanied by the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş to their families.

Koçyiğit stated that the children who were brought to Ankara Bilkent City Hospital with the 112 Emergency Service, who were identified as unaccompanied children as a result of the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, were safe, and explained that the determination of the families of the children was carried out by the professional staff of the ministry working in the hospital. Provincial Director Koçyiğit stated that the determination of the families of Muhammed and Hüda Misto brothers was carried out through the system of SOYBİS, MERNİS and the Ministry of National Education, and that they would be brought together with their mothers as a result of matching the records and statements of the children.
