BTSO's Machinery UR-GE Members are in Mexico for 'Export'

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) continues its foreign trade-oriented projects at full speed. Within the scope of the Machinery UR-GE project implemented by BTSO with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, sector representatives carried out overseas marketing activities in Mexico.

BTSO, which is one of the institutions that carry out the most International Competition Development Project (UR-GE) in Turkey, aims to have its members play a more active role in the global market with the overseas marketing activities it organizes within the scope of the project. With the “Bursa Increases Exports in the Machinery Sector with UR-GE” project of the Chamber, the new stop of the sector representatives was Mexico. More than 20 UR-GE project member companies have carried out international marketing activities in Mexico City, Mexico. Companies from Bursa came together at the cooperation table with more than 45 business people from 60 Mexican companies. Firms held nearly 100 job interviews in this organization.

Sector Representatives Focused on Target Markets

Cüneyt Şener, Vice Chairman of BTSO Board of Directors, said that the machinery industry is in a strategic position for Turkey. Expressing that they have carried out important works for Makine UR-GE members to gain a greater share from the global market, Şener said, “After Australia, our UR-GE members held important business meetings in Mexico, one of the most important target markets for our country in North America. . I believe that this event, which was very productive for our companies, will provide strong trade opportunities.” said.

“We Can Reach New Records in Exports”

Expressing that Turkey's machinery exports reached 2022 billion dollars in 9,6 with an increase of 25,3 percent compared to the previous year, and broke the record of all times, Cüneyt Şener continued as follows: “Bursa, the locomotive city of our country's economy, is among the cities that accelerate the export performance of our industry. We aim to reach new records together with the contributions of our UR-GE members operating in the machinery sector. I would also like to thank our Ministry of Commerce for their support to our UR-GE projects.”

BTSO Delegation Visited Companies in Mexico

In the organization of bilateral business meetings held by BTSO's Makine UR-GE Members in Mexico, Turkey's Ambassador to Mexico İlhan Kemal Tuğ, Commercial Counselors Nur Pınar İnal Çoban and Zahide Karaca also visited UR-GE Member companies.

In addition to the B2B program, the BTSO delegation also visited the Mexican Machinery Distributors Association and the factories operating in the sector.
