“The buildings built 75 years ago are still standing”

Speaking at Düziçi Village Institute, President Soyer said, “We are now at Düziçi Village Institute with our 1962, 1969 graduates and our former teachers. Buildings built 75 years ago stand here. Moreover, there is an important legacy that inspires us today and guides us in planning for the future. We will not let it disappear. A beautiful museum has been built here. We will do a better, more comprehensive one in İzmir. How did this state kill the village institutes? it doesn't bother us. We are truly amazed and amazed. We experience the same feeling in every village institute we go to. We will do whatever we can to ensure that this precious legacy lives on and be passed on to our grandchildren and future generations.”

“There is no iron, no cement, but there is a mind”

President Soyer said, “Perhaps it is one of the most beautiful models in educational practices in the world. We will defend him to the end. In the agricultural high school we will establish in İzmir, we will draw a roadmap for ourselves by being inspired by the village institutes. Today, despite this earthquake, we see that the buildings here stand upright. Then there is no iron, no cement, but there is reason. There is a mind-set building. There is a facility built with the mind. There is an educational curriculum created with the mind. So we have a lot to learn and remember.”
