AKSUNGUR UAV, which will operate in Adıyaman on the second day of the earthquake and in Hatay by staying in the air for 45 hours as of this morning, will support the communication between our citizens and rescue teams on mobile phones.
After the first earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 in Kahramanmaraş's Pazarcık district, the flight preparation was completed at TUSAŞ facilities and the AKSUNGUR UAV, which was immediately sent to the earthquake zone, sent an aerial image to all authorized Public, Institutions and Organizations, especially the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) in search and rescue coordination activities. continues to provide support.
Sharing his views on the subject, Turkish Aerospace Industries General Manager Prof. Dr. Basic Cotil; “From the first day of the earthquake, we load all aid packages such as food, clothing and heating on trucks and send them to the region under the coordination of AFAD. We also provide communication support by integrating a base station into our AKSUNGUR UAV, which came to life after the R&D project we have been working on for more than a year with TURKCELL. We are mobilizing all the means at our disposal to the region affected by the earthquake. I wish God's mercy to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and I wish a quick recovery to our injured people.'' He said.
