Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has mobilized all its resources after the two major earthquakes, continues to stand by the earthquake victims both in disaster areas and in the Capital. The teams in the earthquake area continue their cleaning work against the risk of epidemic, and the Ankara Fire Department continues to save new lives in search and rescue efforts.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continued to mobilize all its resources for the victims on the 7th day of the earthquake that stunned Turkey.

ABB teams, who have been participating in search and rescue efforts in the regions affected by the earthquake since the first day of the earthquake, continue to meet many needs such as shelter, transportation, clothing and hot food of the earthquake victims who have left their hometowns and come to the Capital.

CLEANING WORKS CONTINUE IN THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE

The Department of Urban Aesthetics and ANFA teams continue the cleaning work they started in the center of Hatay against the risk of an epidemic.

ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “As a result of the great destruction, our citizens in earthquake regions are facing the threat of an epidemic. Our Urban Aesthetics Department and ANFA teams started cleaning works in Hatay Center. We are trying to minimize the negative consequences of the possible danger.”

HEALTH CABINET SENT TO HATAY STARTED TO WORK

The health cabin and portable toilet sent by the Department of Health Affairs to the earthquake region also reached the region. The health cabinet started to serve earthquake victims in Hatay with the medicines and medical consumables it contains.

SAVE AT THE 140TH HOUR

Continuing the search and rescue efforts in Hatay, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department teams rescued 136-year-old Farah from the rubble at the 17th hour of the great disaster and Ceylan Hanım at the 140th hour. Slow announced the good news on his social media accounts as follows:

“It lasted 136 hours. We met. Farah said hello to life again at the age of 17. Thank you.

SHIPMENT OF ASSISTANCE TRUCKS CONTINUES

Earthquake support campaigns initiated by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality in the Capital continue at Macunköy Metro Station Earthquake Support Center and BELKO Cold Storage.

The products brought to the main collection centers through ANFA chiefdoms in 28 regions and collection centers established throughout the city are separated in cooperation with volunteer citizens and sent to 10 cities where earthquake disaster occurred.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality also created temporary collection points in 6 places, namely Batıkent Atlantis Square, Ayrancı Market, Arcadium AVM, Keçiören Waterfall, Göksu AVM and Sincan Tulip Square so that support materials can be left.

ANKARA CITY COUNCIL CREATED AID STORE

Ankara City Council (AKK) continues to support the campaign by collecting donations in its buildings in the Youth Park.

In the coordination unit, where AKK works with non-governmental organizations and volunteers, a communication network is established with the disaster victims and needs support is provided from the aid store created in the exhibition hall.

Ankara City Council, which meets the needs of 600 people in total, also provides transportation support to the places they want to go.

DISASTER VICTIMS ARE PLACED IN SOCIAL HOUSING

After the earthquake, which was effective in 10 provinces, the earthquake victims who came to the capital and had housing problems are placed in social housing in the Araplar Mahallesi of the Mamak district.

To the victims; Hot meals for 3 meals, hot water for 24 hours, laundry, clothing, hygiene, food, health, security, emergency ambulance and milk and formula support are provided for babies.
