Thanks to the sensitive seismic acoustic listening device, which is in the inventory of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and which is one of the few institutions in Turkey, 28 citizens were rescued from under the rubble in Hatay.
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality sent search and rescue teams to the region from the first day of the 10 and 7,7 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which is Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 7,6 provinces. With the sensitive seismic acoustic listening device in the inventory of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, which is in a limited number of institutions in Turkey, many citizens were pulled out of the rubble alive.
It Can Detect Victims Even By Their Breath
With the sensitive seismic acoustic listening device, the signals produced by the people trapped in the cavities, shafts and gaps in the debris can be detected visually and audibly.
On the other hand, the sensitive seismic acoustic device can provide data from under the debris thanks to its extendable cameras. After the Izmir earthquake, the sub-debris imaging device and the seismic and acoustic listening device were actively used in the Kahramanmaraş earthquake as well.
