250 Thousand Students Benefited from the Winter Schools Opened for the First Time During the Semester Break

After the summer schools, the Ministry of National Education organized free courses with fun and innovative learning approaches in four fields, namely "science", "art", "mathematics" and "English", at the Winter Schools for the first time this year during the semester break. Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer announced that 250 thousand students attended winter schools in four different fields.

Great interest in the courses

Organized in four different areas, the winter schools, where students learn by having fun with innovative approaches, were held in 81 provinces for the first time this year. There was great interest in the courses. Approximately 5 thousand students attended the winter school, which was run with 845 thousand teachers at 14 course centers.

22 thousand courses, 55 different workshops

More than 81 thousand courses were opened in 22 provinces in the winter school, which took place with the intense participation of students. The participating students stated that they left the courses very happy, and while they were completing their deficiencies, the courses were very instructive and entertaining. All 55nd and 2th grade students benefited from science and art courses in 12 different workshops at BİLSEMs. 55 different workshops in fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, software development, aviation and space, renewable energy, scientific research techniques, mind games were brought together with students in different regions of Turkey.

Making a statement on the subject, Minister Mahmut Özer said, “As the Ministry of National Education, we opened summer schools for the first time last summer. During the semester break, we opened a winter school in science, art, mathematics and English in four different fields. Our students participated in the winter schools very intensively. Approximately 250 thousand students benefited from these courses. We will always be with them by implementing different practices in order to ensure that our children receive the highest quality education and not leave them alone.” said.
