Gözde Group Chairman of the Board Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı said that housing investors from all over Turkey and abroad prefer Izmir. Stating that the recently announced New Home Campaign will accelerate the sector, Kalı said that those who want to buy a house should take advantage of this opportunity.

Stating that İzmir receives demand from both Turkey and abroad, but not enough housing can be produced despite this demand, Kalı said that house prices will continue to increase every month in İzmir.

Expressing that İzmir is in demand with its living opportunities and that every part of it is valuable, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı said, “There is a point that I have been dwelling on for years. Make an investment in Izmir as much as you can afford. Because every part of the city is very valuable. Right now, housing prices are very high and people are having a hard time buying a house. When you look at it, the construction sector in Turkey shrank by 50 percent in Anatolia and 26 percent in Istanbul. In İzmir, this rate was 11 percent. Because the city continues to be in demand. Housing prices have risen a lot and will rise even higher. Construction costs increased 9-10 times. This situation cannot be explained by inflation alone. There are different reasons and this increase does not stop. I find this interest reduction campaign of the government very correct. It will be beneficial for both investors and contractors. The government created an opportunity with a 15-year-term, 0,69-interest housing campaign. I don't think inflation will fall fast. During this period, people should buy their housing. "These interest rates are very constructive and a very important subsidy from the government for citizens to own housing," he said.

Emphasizing that Izmir is one of the most demanded cities in Turkey, Op. Dr. Kenan Kalı said: “People from all over Turkey are investing in Izmir. If Istanbul's stone and soil are gold, İzmir's stone and soil are diamonds. They also come to Izmir for housing investment from Russia, Ukraine and Iran. People need to act fast on this. When you look at the big metropolises, Istanbul has become very expensive and uninhabitable. Life, education, transportation and housing are very expensive in Istanbul. The only alternative was Izmir. There is not much housing supply in İzmir because new land cannot be produced. If prices are reasonable, companies will continue to invest. In new projects, companies that give confidence and have completed their residences will be preferred more.”

Kiss. Dr. Kenan Kalı noted that with 10 different projects, the construction of which has been completed and ongoing, in Izmir, they have implemented the type of housing in each segment.

Stating that they have determined especially the northern region of İzmir as a new target for investments, Kalı continued as follows: “The region up to Çiğli, Ulukent, Koyundere and Menemene is very open to development and is an important living center. Both quality houses are being built; and much more advantageous prices can be offered compared to the city center. We have projects in Çiğli, Menemen and Harmandalı in the north of İzmir. We delivered 900 independent sections in our Wins Blue project in Çiğli. We will build 4 flats in 750 stages in Harmandalı. In Menemen, we have a project consisting of 650 flats in two stages.

We started to shift our investments to the north of the city, we haven't put our projects up for sale yet. The construction of two special projects continues in Alsancak and Gaziemir in the very center of İzmir. We will complete our Gaziemir project in the summer. We have projects at 10 points whose sales are still ongoing. We have a project that offers special options for each segment at every point in İzmir. We have rental-guaranteed systems. In order to meet the demand, we will continue to produce housing and investments according to everyone's budget. We will produce a total of 2023 thousand houses in 2024 and 3.
