Emphasizing that many decisions have been made, such as enacting the Teaching Profession Law, sending a budget to schools, increasing the rate of enrollment at the age of 5, and providing free textbooks to students as well as auxiliary resources, Özer made the following assessments: We take concrete steps by considering the best interests. 81 of the decisions taken in the year after the council were put into practice. In addition, we took various steps regarding 13 recommendations. One of these is the recommendation of 'Providing free lunch or nutritional support in schools'. Since the beginning of this academic year, we have accelerated our efforts to provide students with free lunch within the framework of the Council's decision. We increased the number of students benefiting from free meals, which was currently 1,5 million at the beginning of the academic year, to 1.8 million. We will now work to increase this number to 5 million as of the second half of the academic year. Thus, we will have taken another concrete step towards increasing the equality of opportunity in education. In addition, 'a comprehensive monitoring study should be conducted based on disaggregated data on students' absenteeism and dropouts at all educational levels.'
