The libraries that have been put into service recently by the Keçiören Municipality have greatly increased the opportunities for young people to access education and science centers in the district. The libraries, located at the intersection points of the neighborhoods that border each other, also allow many neighborhood residents to easily benefit from them.
While Yücel Hacaloğlu, Mehmet Doğan, Mehmet Ali Şahin, Hüseyin Nihal Atsız, Ötüken, Şenay Aybüke Yalçın public libraries have been put into service in Keçiören in the last 3 years, Fatih Library has been serving for years.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok stated that they promised to increase the number of libraries in the district and that they were happy to fulfill this promise, and made the following assessment:
“It is education that revives nations. The first command of my Lord is ikra, that is, read. In this respect, it is very important to read and learn at every moment of life. One of our most important services for our children and young people is our library service. We are planning to build a large library in our Ayvali Neighborhood. Our project work continues. I hope Ankara's biggest library will be in Keçiören. We will bring an excellent work to our city in terms of working and resting environment. On the other hand, we have classrooms, we have youth centers, we have children's education centers. We continue to mobilize all our means to prepare our children and youth for the future in the best possible way.”
