Within the scope of Bayraktar AKINCI Project, carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the integration of locally produced new ammunition and systems into Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which was developed nationally and originally by Baykar, continues successfully.
HIT WITH HIGH PRECISION
In this context, the test firing carried out on Thursday, December 22, 2022, with the GÖKÇE New Generation Guidance Kit developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE, was successfully completed. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA took off from Bayraktar AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ to conduct a fire test. Bayraktar AKINCI hit the target with high precision with his 1000 lb MK-83 (Approximately 455 kg) equipped with GÖKÇE guidance kit under the body.
TESTED FOR THE FIRST TIME
GÖKÇE Guidance Kit, which engages with high precision to the target that Bayraktar AKINCI marked with a laser from an altitude of 20.000 feet, was tested for the first time on an unmanned aerial vehicle. Bayraktar TB2 UAV, which took off from Bayraktar TB2 Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan, also viewed the successfully completed firing test.
