The "31 Ton Submarine Pool", which was launched on Wednesday, August 2022, 3000 and which is of critical importance to meet the submarine construction and modernization needs of the Turkish Naval Forces Command, successfully completed the dive tests.

Another important stage has been left behind in the Submarine Pool, which is the only one in the world with its own characteristics. In the statement made by ASFAT, it was stated that the system will be in the service of the Turkish Naval Forces very soon.

The three thousand-ton submarine pool was launched

The "3000 Ton Submarine Dock", which is the only one in the world with its own features, which is critical to meeting the submarine construction and modernization needs of the Turkish Naval Forces Command, was launched on Wednesday, 31 August 2022. In this context, the "3000 Ton Submarine Pool Supply" contract was signed between the Ministry of National Defense, General Directorate of Shipyards and ASFAT on 17 December 2019.

The Submarine Pool project, carried out under the prime contractorship of ASFAT, a subsidiary of the Ministry of National Defense, is the submarine construction and maintenance-repair infrastructure of the Gölcük Shipyard Command, at a time when the production of national submarines and the maintenance-repair and modernization activities of the submarines currently in our inventory continue rapidly and intensively. was launched to increase their capabilities. Since it is a part of the national submarine production target, it has a critical and strategic importance for our blue homeland, which will enable the development of national technology.

The 3000-ton Submarine Pool Project differs from conventional pool construction projects due to its job description, needs and design, and was launched as a result of the determined, altruistic and constructive approaches of all stakeholders at a time when the pandemic was affecting all over the world and causing various difficulties in supply chains and costs. .

More than thirty subcontractors operated within the scope of the project. The project, which continues with the efforts and efforts of Turkish engineers and workers, sets an example in terms of keeping the domestic rate at the maximum level. The knowledge and business model approaches gained within the scope of the project serve the progress and development of ASFAT, General Directorate of Shipyards and all stakeholders involved in the project as contractors and suppliers, creating a serious experience to be used in similar projects.
