The heavy rain that was effective in Antalya affected the life negatively. In the Kumluca district, where the flood disaster took place, many houses and workplaces were flooded as a result of the flooding of the streams. Education was suspended for one day in Kumluca and Finike districts. Kumluca Mayor Mustafa Köleoğlu stated that they are on alert due to the heavy rain that started in the evening, and that such a disaster has not occurred in the district for 1 years. He stated that the flood waters destroyed the bridges and therefore the construction machines could not work.

The downpour and storm, which continued from the evening hours in Antalya's Kumluca district, increased its effect after midnight. After the downpour in Salur, Sarıcasu and Ortaköy neighborhoods, the Gavur Stream, which passed through the district center, overflowed.
Streets and avenues turned into lakes, parked cars were dragged by flooding. Hundreds of greenhouses were flooded in Kumluca, a greenhouse production center. The first floor of many buildings and detached houses were flooded.
Education in primary and secondary schools in the district was suspended for one day.
