Hundreds of representatives of 22 different fellow-citizen associations in Istanbul, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluHe paid a support visit to Welcoming his guests in the Assembly Hall in the main campus of IMM in Saraçhane, İmamoğlu said, “This is your home, Saraçhane; Home of 16 million Istanbulites living in Istanbul. This is not really a personal matter. This is the issue of Istanbulites. It is Turkey's issue. In other words, it is an issue that concerns our 85 million people. It is an attempt to fight together in an environment where our future is oppressed and distressingly darkened. We firmly believe that unlawfulness will end in 2023. On this issue, we will continue to fight without stopping," he said.

Hundreds of people from 22 different fellow-citizen associations established by citizens living in Istanbul, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), who was sentenced to imprisonment by the local court and brought a political ban. Ekrem İmamoğluHe made support visits to İmamoğlu hosted his guests in the Assembly Hall located in the main campus of IMM in Saraçhane in 3 different time periods.

“THIS IS YOUR HOME; SADDLERY"

He said to his guests, “This is your home, Saraçhane; Greetings with the words "The home of 16 million Istanbulites living in Istanbul," İmamoğlu said, "Of course, it is a great pleasure for me to host you here. Today should not have become an occasion for us to meet. But unfortunately, our country gives us these things. In our country, the issue of law has become perhaps the most heartbreaking and heartbreaking element that hurts us. It is one of the most critical issues in terms of the failure of the law, making people unhappy and exhausting their hopes.” Giving examples of the unlawfulness experienced during and after the 31 March-23 June elections, İmamoğlu said, “The investigations we have experienced, unlawful interventions, some circulars in which our powers have been taken away, Presidential decrees and so on; I won't even go into them. What did we deal with while serving? How were the decisions taken in favor of our nation, in order to get a job done faster, and what efforts were made in this direction? Of course, I won't go into this detail. Only this is a fact: When we talk by adding democracy and freedom to the concepts of right, law and justice; That's where we want to reach."

“THE BATCH IS THE CENTER WHERE GOVERNMENTS ACHIEVED THEIR Legitimacy”

Pointing out that the nature of politics is both winning and losing, İmamoğlu said:

“If we do not trust our people, that is, if we do not accept democracy, which is the name of the power of humanity, then why are elections held? The ballot box is the center, the focus, where the administrations obtain their legitimacy. Understandings that tend to increase their power by suppressing the judiciary or by such behavior are authoritarian ones. And these understandings, believe us, even put our people's existence in trouble and threaten it. This puts him in trouble, from his personal possessions to all his rights and laws. This is our struggle. I always say: The struggle must be brave. It has to be by the rules. The road must be walked by the rules of democracy. But unfortunately we are faced with a government that is determined to never comply with this. It's not just a case. Based on the lawsuit and other works, transactions, a 'terror investigation' that was made out of nowhere, and the criminal complaint and criminal complaint made to the prosecutor's office based on this terrorism investigation, first a minister and then the ministry page will provide details of the investigation and from which article the punishment was made. We have experienced one after the other efforts to make a public statement in a way that will lead to publication so that it should be given.”

“OUR COMMITMENT IS HIGHER”

Emphasizing that they are fighting for an "independent judiciary", İmamoğlu said, "After these interventions, I came out yesterday, how much of a base this investigation is, how real it is, how bad a process was designed, a malicious process was planned, just like in a court. Just like the intervention for the establishment of a guided court process instead of a judge who strives to be fair, while an inspector is doing his duty, a development is going on at the point of "There is nothing in the middle". It is a government order that has made interventions to influence and suppress politics and the judiciary in such a wild way, by becoming an inspector. Of course, none of this is a study or practice that will bring our courage down. On the contrary, believe that our determination has climbed higher. I want you to be aware that we will fight until the end to never give up," he said.

“I HAVE NEVER BEEN THE PERSON WHO WAS CAREFUL WHEN IT KNOWED ON MY DOOR”

Reminding that they wanted votes from all segments of the society under the definition of the "Istanbul Alliance" in the elections, İmamoğlu said, "So to speak, we asked for votes from every element in that blend that made up our nation. We managed a process of curing his problems, solving his needs and solving his problems, and we tried to take appropriate actions throughout our administration.” Saying, "I have never been a person who worries about the unlawfulness in our country when they knock on my door," İmamoğlu said, "I will try to stand by you wherever an unlawful act in this country is, to worry about their problems and to speak out against any area where this democracy has weakened," said İmamoğlu. I made an effort as the President of IMM on behalf of the people. When there were trustees, yes, I went to Diyarbakir and said that this was wrong, by appearing before the people. Or when a mayor was dismissed unlawfully, I immediately jumped to Yalova or went to Bilecik and other cities.”

“THEY ARE IN A BAD TRIAL TO FOLLOW THE LAW”

Stating that it is normal for them to be audited as a public institution, İmamoğlu said, “But on the condition that a mechanism that is investigated and supervised by egalitarian and just officials is operated there. And of course, there is no problem for us, and there will be no harm in making the law in accordance with universal values and in accordance with the definitions existing in our law. We cannot complain about it. However, we will continue to fight until the end against this reason, which is biased and unfortunately makes a bad effort to prevent the law from being enforced.” Pointing out that one of the basic conditions of being a nation is the effort to be together in good times and bad, İmamoğlu said, “This is not actually a personal issue. This is the issue of Istanbulites. It is Turkey's issue. In other words, it is an issue that concerns our 85 million people. It is an attempt to fight together in an environment where our future is under pressure and our future is sadly darkened in a troubled way. This is how I describe your presence here. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you, our dear friends and fellow citizens, who created the best environment for this concept and feeling of solidarity.”

“OUR BELIEVES THAT ILLEGALS WILL END IN 2023”

“You will show this attitude to whoever is wronged; I have no doubts about it," said İmamoğlu, adding, "This is a matter of law, a matter of democracy. We must protect it until the end so that our hopes for the future grow. Let's all enter the second century of our Republic, which is more meaningful for our children and our youth, with hope and preparedness. Of course, we fully believe that unlawfulness will end in 2023. On this issue, we will continue to fight without stopping. I want you to know that every morning I wake up, I will be a soldier who continues his journey, more determined than the previous day, stronger and never deviating from the goal. Of course, I do not get this power by feeding from my own inner source. I get this power from you, our 16 million people, the people of our country, and even people from different parts of the world who are fighting for democracy. A determined citizen, a determined brother, a friend, a Mayor are sitting in front of you right now. Have no doubts,” he concluded.
