Metin Akbaş, General Manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), made inspections in the T-26 Tunnel, which is under construction on the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Line. Metin Akbaş was accompanied by Hasan Pezük, General Manager of TCDD Tasimacilik AS, and On-site Solution Team.
TCDD Tasimacilik AŞ General Manager Hasan Pezük and On-site Solution Team made various contacts in Bilecik, TCDD General Manager Metin Akbaş examined the T-26 Tunnel, which is under construction on the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Line. First of all, the contractor company representatives made a detailed presentation to Metin Akbaş, who made investigations at the construction site. After the construction site visit, Metin Akbaş moved to the T-26 Tunnel, whose construction works are continuing at a rapid pace, and examined the progress of the project on site.
Emphasizing the importance of the T-26 Tunnel for the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Line, Akbaş said, “The T-26 Tunnel is important in terms of bringing this part of the line to high-speed train standards. When the tunnel is completed, the travel time between Ankara and Istanbul will be shortened even more. The tunnel will also make a significant contribution to increasing the line capacity. We continue our work without interruption within the framework of the schedule determined for this.” said.
It was stated that 26 percent of the eight-kilometer-long T-82,20 Tunnel has been completed.
