11 wild birds and 2 snakes, whose treatments were completed by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Zoo Directorate veterinarians, were released into nature.

In addition to its contribution to city tourism, Eskişehir Zoo, which also undertakes the treatment of injured, sick and difficult wild animals, treated 11 wild birds and 2 more snakes and released them back into the nature.

9 kestrels, 2 eared forest owls and 2 hazer snakes found by animal lovers in Eskişehir were delivered to the teams of Nature Conservation and National Parks Eskişehir Branch Office. The wild animals, which were first aided, were then taken to the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Zoo for their treatment and care.

Here, 9 kestrels, 2 eared forest owls and 2 hazer snakes, whose treatment and care were completed, were released to nature by Eskişehir Zoo and Nature Conservation and National Parks Eskişehir Branch Directorate teams.

Providing information on the subject, Eskişehir Zoo officials said, “The reason why the kestrels came is related to the falling of the birds from the nest. It reaches us when it is a puppy because our citizens found it. We treat them and release them into nature. The Hazer snake was found in the city. They entered different places and they were taken from there. These snakes are particularly non-venomous. They do not harm unless they are very angry, they live by eating animals such as mice and rabbits. Eared forest owls also came when they were young. When we become adults, we release it back into nature. The biggest thing we will do here is not to pick up the puppies from where they are. It should wait for a while and be placed away from predators. The mother then comes and picks up the cubs. Particular attention should be paid to this,” they said.

11 wild birds and 2 hazer snakes were released into the natural environment one by one in the forest area near Kızılinler Mahallesi, where they were taken with veterinarians. The animals, who paused for a short time after being released, were later released.
