Samsun Metropolitan Municipality is building a Discovery Campus for secondary school children to reach the graduate level in the fields they choose. Stating that the campus, 62 percent of which has been completed, will catch up with TEKNOFEST, Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “Our students will go a long way in all systems based on information and technology. Samsun will gain momentum in knowledge, technology and production of technological products together with our youth.”
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which aims to educate children who will produce the technologies of the future with science and information-based systems, is almost rebuilding the city with visionary projects. 1742 percent of the 62 square meter campus, which is under construction in the Atakum district Türk-İş Emek Park, has been completed. The campus, which will cost 11.5 million TL, will have mathematics, physics, astronomy, space and aviation, technology, chemistry and human science, nature, personal development, supportive education, enterprise, production and experiment workshop and their exploration areas. There will also be TEKNOFEST room, teachers' room, administrator's room, public relations department, sales area, information desk, cafeteria and prayer rooms.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir noted that these projects will increase the future visions of children and young people. President Demir said, “The construction of the campus on Atakum Alparslan Boulevard, in Emek Park, has begun. We are trying to train them for TEKNOFEST. Our students will go a long way in all systems based on information and technology. Samsun will gain momentum in knowledge, technology and production of technological products together with our youth. Our country will also benefit greatly from this," he said.
