Ginger

Known to relieve the digestive system for 2000 years, ginger is also an effective pain reliever. Ginger, which prevents nausea, is also known for its stomach soothing properties. Ginger is a natural herb that fights pain, including aching joints and menstrual cramps from arthritis. Studies have shown that ginger capsules work like anti-inflammatory drugs in relieving pain.

A 6-week study at the University of Miami found that almost two-thirds of patients with chronic knee pain felt less pain after standing up using ginger extract. Research shows that ginger can help overcome post-exercise pain.

Daisy

Chamomile also contains pain relievers. It has been used by people for centuries, especially for pain related to the nervous system. It is accepted that chamomile tea, which has a good muscle relaxant feature, reduces pain.

Soya

It has been determined that soy has reduced osteoarthritis knee pain by 30% or more. In a study conducted at Oklahoma State University, it was determined that consuming 40 grams of soy protein daily for three months reduced patients' pain medication use by half.

Isoflavones in soy are known to have a pain-relieving effect thanks to their anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric

The compound in turmeric can affect various processes in the body, including inflammation. It has been revealed that those who take curcumin supplements can cope with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis problems. Adding black pepper to the tea prepared by brewing ginger and adding honey increases its effect. It has been determined that the spice, which is widely used in Indian foods, is as effective as ibuprofen in rheumatoid arthritis pain. In studies on rats, it was observed that turmeric also prevented the destruction of the joints from arthritis.

Kiraz

The high amount of antioxidants called anthocyanins in the content of cherries is the key to the pain-fighting power of cherries. Studies have shown that cherry juice reduces symptoms of muscle damage in men who exercise. Pain-relieving anthocyanins are also found in blackberries, cherries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Coffee (caffeine)

Many over-the-counter cold and headache medications contain caffeine. In researches, it has been determined that when consumed together with known painkillers, it increases the effects of painkillers. In recent years, it has also been revealed that caffeine has its own pain-reducing power. However, caffeine intake should not be overdone.

The fish

The omega-3 fatty acids in fish may reduce pain or inflammation from certain autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, migraine, and Crohn's disease. It is known to be effective in patients who consume fish regularly and have chronic neck and back pain. In a study, it was reported that 60 percent of patients with pain experienced relief after consuming fish oil for three months, and almost completely discontinued pain medication. It is recommended that those with chronic pain should eat 2-3 meals a week of fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines or trout. These fish, which are all sources of omega-3, suppress pain when consumed regularly. However, if blood thinners are taken, a specialist should be consulted first. Because omega-3s can increase the effect of these drugs.

Blueberries

Blueberries contain many herbal elements that can fight inflammation and reduce pain. If the fruit is not in season, frozen blueberries have similar nutritional content as fresh. Other fruits containing antioxidants and polyphenols, including strawberries and oranges, also have soothing effects.

Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds are a great source of magnesium, a mineral known to reduce migraine attacks. It also helps prevent and treat osteoporosis. For more magnesium, almonds and cashews, dark green leafy vegetables (such as spinach and kale), beans and lentils should be consumed regularly.

Nane

Peppermint oil relieves the painful cramps, gas and bloating that are the hallmarks of irritable bowel syndrome. Those who consume mint tea, provided that it is not excessive, state that their pain due to stomach discomfort is relieved.

Walnut

With its high amount of omega-3 fatty acids, it is good for brain and heart health as well as pain. Consuming walnuts regularly is effective against muscle and joint pain. It is recommended to be consumed especially at breakfasts and snacks.

Garlic

Garlic, which is good for tooth and headache, is known as a natural antibiotic. Except for special health conditions, 2-3 cloves of garlic a day are good for muscle and bone pain.

Extra virgin olive oil

Extra virgin olive oil, which contains the oleocanthal enzyme, has a natural anti-inflammatory effect. It has also been stated that this enzyme reduces pain. However, in order for this enzyme to be effective, it is important that the olive oil is natural and prepared for consumption by squeezing according to the old methods. All these foods should be consumed carefully if the person has chronic diseases or different problems with nutrition, and a doctor should be consulted when necessary.
