of City Lines Kadıköy- In the event held on the Karaköy-Eminönü line between 15:10-19:10, first aid training was given to the passengers by the Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedic Association (ATTDER), Emergency Medicine and Disaster Workers Association (ATAÇDER) and Beykoz University faculty members.

The training, coordinated by ATTDER Chairman and lecturer Temel Kılınçlı, was held for the 8th time as a part of the "Let No One Knows First Aid Project". First aid training was given on models by Beykoz University faculty members Kadir Şeker, Nebi Araz, Temel Kılınçlı and Paramedic students.

The training team reminded that knowing first aid in the air, at sea, on land and everywhere saves lives. He shared with the ferry passengers tips on saving lives with the right heart massage to the right person at the right time.

Temel Kılınçlı, President of the Emergency Medicine and Disaster Workers Association and a lecturer at Beykoz University, stated that everyone can need first aid everywhere and everyone should know, and said, “We increase awareness by showing our citizens how to perform correct and effective CPR with our slogan of first aid in the air, on land and at sea. . Correctly applied first aid saves lives.

THE FIRST TWO MINUTES ARE VERY IMPORTANT

Kılıçlı emphasized that the first thing to do in an emergency should be to call 112 and that it is very important to give first aid within two minutes to a person whose heart stopped while waiting for an ambulance, and gave the following information:

“In the wasted time without intervention until the ambulance arrives, the brain cells are deprived of oxygen. Brain death occurs within the first 5 to 10 minutes. First aid provided until the ambulance arrives at the scene is life-saving. The aim of the project is to increase the number of those who receive first aid training who can make use of these golden minutes.”

PASSENGERS ARE SATISFIED WITH THE TRAINING
