The person named Ahmet Iskender, who was found to have hidden the gun used in the assassination of journalist Hrant Dink, lent money to the perpetrator for the murder, and had his cell phone used as a communication tool for the murder, and sought as the fugitive suspect of the incident, was caught in Kyrgyzstan and brought to Turkey.

After it was determined that the person was hiding in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, due to the work of the Police Intelligence Department, the Anti-Terrorism Department and the Interpol-Europol Department, the Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and our Interior Consultancy were immediately contacted, and the person was caught and handed over to our country. request was submitted.

The person was apprehended on 26.02.2022 by the Kyrgyzstan Police Units under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security, our Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and our Internal Affairs Counselor.

The person was brought to our country from Kyrgyzstan on 26.03.2022 by the personnel of the Interpol-Europol Department and the Anti-Terrorism Department.

The passport belonging to Ahmet İskender's brother M.İ., but with his own photograph, was also seized.

The person, who was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison, was arrested and handed over to Metris No. 1 T Type Penal Execution Institution.
