Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Erciyes A.Ş. Erciyes Ski Center, one of Turkey's and the world's leading ski resorts, hosted the Snow Volleyball European Tour for the 4th time. 8 athletes from 67 countries and 18 teams participated in the organization. The European Tour of Snow Volleyball, which was challenging, exciting and fun, was completed with the matches played on the second day.
While the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality continues its activities that support sports and athletes, it continues to contribute to the promotion of Turkey and Kayseri by hosting world-class organizations with international standards sports facilities.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Erciyes, which Memduh Büyükkılıç described as 'Turkey's pride', hosted the 2022 Snow Volleyball European Tour Organization organized by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). 2 athletes, 200 women, 7 men, and 11 teams from Turkey, Belgium, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania and Switzerland participated in the organization hosted by Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş. in Tekir Kapı region at an altitude of 67. .
Snow Volleyball European Tour competitions were held in 3 specially prepared fields. Turkey Snow Volleyball Men's National Teams and Turkey Snow Volleyball Women's National Teams competed in the contested and exciting matches.
TURKEY WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM IS THE CHAMPION
On the second day of the European Snow Volleyball Tour, the Turkish Snow Volleyball Women's National Team, which reached the finals in the women's category, faced the Hungary Women's National Team. In an exciting and contentious fight, Turkey's Snow Volleyball Women's National Team defeated Hungary 2-0 and became the champion by completing the European Snow Volleyball Tour at the top. In the Snow Volleyball European Tour women's category, the Hungarian National Team came in second and the Italian National Team came in third.
After the exciting competitions of the Snow Volleyball European Tour held in Erciyes, which lasted for two days, the award ceremony was held. Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş. presented the championship award to the Turkish Snow Volleyball Women's National Team. Murat Cahid Cıngı, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
At the end of the men's category final match, the Turkish Snow Volleyball Men's National Team defeated the French National Team 2-1 and came second, while the French National Team took the first place. The Italian National Team finished the cup with the third place.
Making a statement after the Snow Volleyball European Tour Award Ceremony, Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş. Chairman of the Board of Directors, Murat Cahid Cıngı, stated that serious progress has been made within the scope of the Master Plan made by the Metropolitan Municipality for Mount Erciyes, and said, “Thank God, we have concluded another beautiful international organization in an environment where everyone completed it successfully, smiling and in a pleasant way. Of course, within the scope of the Master Plan made by our Metropolitan Municipality to Mount Erciyes, very serious progress has been made, and now Erciyes has become a reason for preference for foreign and domestic guests who come with international charter flights and come from hundreds of countries with their families and groups of friends.
Underlining that they try to diversify this infrastructure in summer and winter, not only with winter sports but with all activities that can be done on the mountains, Cıngı said, “There are important activities that increase our organizational capability, the branding value of our city, and the international recognition of Erciyes. Instead of advertising, we are trying to increase our brand value with international activities. We held the European Snow Volleyball Cup simultaneously in Erciyes on the first day it was held in Europe. We succeeded in Erciyes for the first time in Turkey. We are happy that Erciyes has accomplished another important work both in Turkey and throughout Europe. Hopefully, the coming years will be periods when Erciyes will host many different, much more global-scale organizations.”
