With the Nature in the City project, plants suitable for İzmir's climate and vegetation are planted in different areas in the city, so that many animal species can join the ecosystem and continue their lives in these green areas created within the city.

Plants that do not want water such as Izmir thyme and oleander were planted.

In the park located inside the Mavişehir Fisherman's Shelter, species such as blackthorn, gum, İzmir thyme, oleander, tamarisk, heather (pure) were planted that are suitable for İzmir's climate and nature. In the creation of the park, attention was paid to easy and inexpensive maintenance and less water use, as well as aesthetic appearance.

Plants received from producers

Most of the plants used in İzmir's new generation park, which does not require much irrigation, were purchased from cooperative member producers who heed this call.

Added plant and bird information boards

Introductory signs have been added to the park for informational purposes. There are also information boards in the area containing the Gediz Delta, the Ancient Production Basin of the Gediz Delta and the bird species found in the Gediz Delta. In addition, two bird watching units were built. In the bird watching units, a panoramic drawing of the bird watching point in the park and a long information board containing the bird species of the Gediz Delta meet with the visitors. In this way, visitors will be able to take advantage of the specially prepared drawings about both the Gediz Delta and the plant and bird species in the delta, and get comprehensive information about bird watching. The park also includes a map of İzmir's five İzmirHeritage routes.
