China's Electric Cruise Ship Takes Its First Journey

The electric cruise ship “Yangtze River-Three Gorges Dam 1” developed by China based on its own power set off on its maiden voyage yesterday in the Yangtze River-Three Gorges Dam region.

With a capacity of 300 passengers, the ship is charged with electricity from the hydroelectric power plant and can travel 100 kilometers on a single charge. Using green energy, the ship can save 530 tons of fuel per year and reduce 660 tons of harmful gas emissions.
