Turkey's global land systems manufacturer, Otokar, continues to exhibit its products and capabilities in the defense industry in different parts of the world. Otokar, Turkey's most experienced land systems company with 35 years of experience in the defense industry, will exhibit ARMA 28×31 and COBRA II vehicles at the DSA 2022 fair, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, between 6-6 March.
One of the Koç Group companies, Otokar continues to promote its products and capabilities in the field of land systems on a global scale. Representing the Turkish defense industry successfully abroad, Otokar is participating in the DSA 2022 defense industry fair to be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. During the event, which will take place for the 17th time this year, Otokar will exhibit its world-renowned armored vehicles ARMA 6×6 Armored Combat Vehicle and COBRA II Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle.
Indicating that Otokar is a global player in the defense industry, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç said, “We achieve new successes in the defense industry every day, we stand out with our global knowledge, design and engineering capabilities, and R&D studies. In the last 10 years, we have allocated approximately 8 percent of our turnover to R&D activities. Our vehicles are actively serving in very different geographies, challenging climatic conditions and risky areas. We reflect the experiences we have gained in different parts of the world in our vehicle development work. Otokar vehicles are already successfully serving in the Asia-Pacific region. Our aim is to increase our presence here. We closely follow different cooperation and export opportunities in the region.
Pointing out that Otokar is currently one of the land systems suppliers of NATO and the United Nations, Görgüç said; “Our military vehicles are in the inventory of 35 users in more than 55 friendly and allied countries around the world, including the Turkish army and security forces, and are actively serving. We compete with major global players in the international arena. In addition to product supply, we stand out with our R&D and technology transfer capabilities in land vehicles.”
ARMA 6 × 6
Otokar's multi-wheeled modular armored vehicle, ARMA 6×6, with high tactical and technical features, has superior mobility, high mine and ballistic protection features, as well as medium and high caliber weapon system integration options. Serving in the most difficult terrain and climate conditions, peacekeeping and humanitarian aid operations, ARMA also has an amphibious option. ARMA 6×6; It draws attention especially with its high combat weight and large interior volume. ARMA can be equipped with different weapon and turret systems in line with needs. ARMA family can be used in different missions such as armored personnel carrier, armored combat vehicle, command control, CBRN reconnaissance vehicle.
COBRA II
The COBRA II stands out with its high level of protection and transport, and its large interior volume. In addition to its superior mobility, the COBRA II, which has the capacity to carry 10 personnel, including the commander and the driver, offers a high level of security thanks to its superior protection against ballistic, mine and IED threats. Providing high performance in the most challenging terrain and climatic conditions, COBRA II is optionally produced in amphibious type and perfectly adapts to different tasks required. COBRA II, which is especially preferred thanks to its wide weapon integration and mission hardware equipment options, successfully carries out many missions in Turkey and export markets, including border protection, internal security and peacekeeping operations. COBRA II can also act as a personnel carrier, weapon platform, land surveillance radar, CBRN reconnaissance vehicle, command control vehicle and ambulance thanks to its modular structure.
