Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ); The development and parts production of the National Combat Aircraft (MMU), which will be released in the hangar in 2023, continues.

İsmail Demir, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, met with television and newspaper representatives in Ankara to convey the 2021 evaluation and 2022 projects. It was stated that among the targets of the Presidency of Defense Industries for 2022, the development of the National Combat Aircraft and the production of parts will continue. In November 2021, TAI General Manager Temel Kotil announced that the first piece of MMU was produced. Kotil said, “We produced the first part of our National Combat Aircraft. Every step we take for the survival project of our country is very meaningful and valuable for us.” had made the statement.

TAI continues its efforts for the National Combat Aircraft. Work continues with digital twin technology for the design and production of the National Combat Aircraft, which is expected to leave the hangar on March 18, 2023. TUSAŞ, which uses the 3DEXPERIENCE PLM platform and aviation industry experiences to develop the National Combat Aircraft from design to production; had an agreement with Dassault Systemes for this technology. TAI, which will carry out all the design and tests of MMU with the help of digital twin technologies, will thus accelerate the product development process and continue its production and testing processes with digital technologies.

TAAC Aviation Technologies (TAAC), which started its operations in 2019 with the partnership of Turkish Aerospace Industries and Altınay Defense, continues its activities to develop motion control systems, landing gear and test systems in accordance with aviation standards, especially National Combat Aircraft and HURJET. The on/off movement mechanisms of the flight control system, landing gear and weapon cover of the National Combat Aircraft continue to be developed. It also carries out the design and installation of the Iron Bird Test System, where many tests and verification studies of HURJET will be carried out, within the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries.
