Diesel and electricity prices quadrupled. The price of a 4 lira sack of flour was 125 lira. This price regulation became necessary in order to continuously provide cheap and healthy bread to the public. During November-December-January and the first week of February, that is, for 300 months, we did not increase the amount of bread, and we incurred an additional cost of 4 million liras in order to provide cheap bread to the people in these dark winter days. We seek the tolerance of the public and our people.”
