In İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital, which was closed due to damage in the 30 October Earthquake, a new operating room was created in a different block instead of the operating rooms. The operating room, whose arrangement was completed, was put into service.

In the city's century-old health institution, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital, a section on the first floor of the undamaged B block was arranged as an operating room, instead of the operating theaters that were closed due to damage to the C block after the 30 October İzmir earthquake. The operating room, consisting of the operating room, post-operative care room, male-female dressing-undressing rooms, shower, secretary and equipment rooms, was put into service recently.

Operations continue at Alsancak State Hospital

Eşrefpaşa Hospital Deputy Chief Physician Arif Kutsi Güder said that they had to close 6 operating rooms after the earthquake and that they signed a protocol with Alsancak State Hospital in order not to make the patients victims, and said, “We operated on approximately 500 patients at Alsancak State Hospital since August last year. Currently, we continue our surgeries at both Alsancak State Hospital and Eşrefpaşa Hospital. We have a new hospital construction project in the area where the parking lot is located inside the hospital. There will be both wards and operating theaters here," he said.
